Born in 1937, Budapest (Hungary). She studied graphics and painting at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts (1955-1961). Between 1967 and 1996 she resides both in Budapest and Vienna, since 1996 only in Budapest. She uses several media: etching, painting, directed several experimantal fi lms, made a lot of photo and photogram experiments. Her educational activity is of overriding importance as well. She received Munkácsy Award (1995) and Kossuth Award (2003).
